Atticus Communications passes PRCA CMS accreditation
14/03/2022Atticus Communications has passed its first PRCA Communications Management Standard (CMS) accreditation.
What is CMS?
CMS, is an internationally recognised accreditation from the PRCA and demonstrates that PR agencies “are well-run businesses that adopt best practices in all areas of their organisation.”
Since Atticus’ establishment in late 2019, we have strived to help clients understand their stakeholder universe and cut through the noise to deliver meaningful campaigns focused on shareholders, governments, the communities in which they operate - and wider society. And we are delighted that our processes to enact our aims, are recognised by the world’s largest and most influential PR professional body.
For our first accreditation, Atticus provided evidence which demonstrates best practice across: leadership and communication, business planning, business improvement, financial management and systems, campaign management, client satisfaction, new business, and people management.
CMS assessor, Carol Magill commented:
“Well done to Atticus for achieving CMS for the first time. During the 2022 assessment, this agency provided CMS evidence on financial and client management, and business planning. The evidence on business planning was sound with a clear process covering pertinent areas in place. This was outlined in the staff handbook, via a process map.
“The example of the client management process in practice was detailed and insightful, with good levels of transparency around charges and approach. Sound evidence was provided on financial management and guidance is in place in relation to the creation of client budgeting, which rests with the senior team. This assessment demonstrates that the Agency has met the standard and have in place a variety of strategies and processes that should put them in a good place for growing their business.”
Founder and Managing Director Leon Cook noted:
“It’s a real honour to be recognised by the PRCA as having achieved the CMS accreditation. Since our inception, we’ve been driven to provide the best possible service to our clients. But that begins with ensuring that we meet the standards as set out by the PRCA. The team have worked incredibly hard and we’re look forward to the year ahead and the next chapter of our growth.”
