As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, dynamic Senior Account Manager to play a leading role within our fast-growing team. This is a senior, client-facing position for someone who thrives in politically and reputationally complex environments, enjoys shaping narratives, and is ready to take real ownership of accounts and campaigns.

Salary details: £44,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)

The Role
The Senior Account Manager will act as a trusted adviser to clients, leading integrated public affairs and media communications programmes, managing day-to-day client relationships, and contributing to the strategic and commercial development of the agency.

You will work closely with senior colleagues and leadership, have significant autonomy, and play an important role in shaping both client work and agency culture. This role offers a clear development pathway to Account Director for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver integrated public affairs, media relations and strategic communications campaigns
  • Serve as the day-to-day lead on multiple client accounts and the first point of contact for clients
  • Provide clear, confident and politically astute strategic counsel to clients
  • Develop and implement political engagement strategies across Westminster, Whitehall and other relevant stakeholders
  • Manage media relations programmes, including journalist engagement, reactive handling and proactive profiling
  • Draft high-quality written outputs, including policy briefings, Select Committee submissions, political correspondence, press releases, op-eds and thought leadership
  • Support new business activity, including identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals and playing an active role in pitches
  • Use personal insight, experience and networks to help grow existing and new client relationships
  • Support, mentor and develop junior team members
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and collaborative agency culture

About You
We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, confident and ambitious, with strong political and media instincts. You will ideally have:
  • At least four years’ experience in public affairs, strategic communications or media relations, ideally in an agency environment
  • Proven experience leading accounts and delivering results for clients
  • Strong media relations experience, either agency-side or in-house
  • A solid understanding of UK Government, Parliament and political processes (with additional experience of devolved or local government welcomed)
  • A genuine interest in UK and international politics and the media landscape, with a strong grasp of the news cycle
  • Experience contributing to new business development, including proposals and pitches
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence presenting, advising clients and handling sensitive or high-pressure situations
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and organised
