Atticus Partners, an award-winning agency working across a range of international public affairs and corporate communications clients, is looking for a highly motivated Director with strong cross-sector experience in public affairs and media to join our team.

Salary Band - Extremely competitive 

In the position of Senior Director / Director, you will:

  • Provide strategic counsel and advice to clients and senior business leaders, developing and delivering innovative, insightful, and integrated solutions
  • Monitor client strategy and both political and industry trends to develop and deliver in-depth strategic solutions for clients
  • Bring a strong Labour Party perspective to public affairs strategies, combining policy expertise with a deep understanding of the party’s networks to enhance client positioning and engagement
  • Create budgets and manage them profitably, ensuring a balance between client service and profitability and providing rationale to the client demonstrating added value
  • Guide business planning through the analysis of opportunities, risks, and threats, resulting in a commercially astute plan
  • Support Founder in key decision making across the wider business
  • Cultivate and maintain an active network of business contacts for the commercial benefit of the company
  • Demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen, including the willingness to identify potential leads and areas of growth within existing clients as well as broader new business leads proactively
  • Lead new business pitches and scopes of work for ongoing and potential clients
  • Lead, motivate, and develop account teams and individuals using people management techniques and company processes, ensuring the optimum collaboration of all people across the wider business
  • Apply innovative problem-solving strategies to address complex client challenges and advance the strategic goals of the organisation
  • Deputise for Founder as and when necessary

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in an in-house or agency setting, working in several sectors 
  • Demonstrated expertise in policies and networks, with a proven record of engaging Labour-focused stakeholders
  • Experience of working on the operational side of a business, including setting budgets, drafting client contracts and Scopes of Work
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced business environment, effectively managing competing demands and priorities while providing strong leadership to those around you
  • Experience in leading a team and mentoring junior members of an organisation
